Golden Princess to the Rescue

The US Coast Guard received a call from the 38-foot fishing boat Pacific Star on November 12 which was out of fuel and unable to make it to Hawaii due to the high seas. Golden Princess was the nearest ship, and it altered its course to reach the fishing boat about 12 hours later. While the Coast Guard coordinated the rescue from the air (shown here), Golden Princess launched two rescue craft.
Those rescued by Golden Princess were Christopher Miller, Brandy Meisner and their two dogs. You will note they were properly prepared; they had life vests aboard for the dogs.
