Carnival Breeze Takes Shape

A block of Carnival Breeze's bow is being lifted into place at the Fincantieri yard in Monfalcone, Italy a couple of weeks ago. (The vessel at left is distorted by the camera lens.) Carnival Breeze will be Carnival Cruise Line's next ship in the fleet, delivered in May 2012. The 130,000-ton ship is a sister to Carnival Dream and Carnival Magic. It will carry 3,390 passengers (double occupancy) and be the 24th in the Carnival Cruise Line fleet.
A block of the stern is the next to be placed on the hull.
This piece brings the yard very close to completing the hull. Note the workers standing on the deck under the two-story structure being lowered into place. Carnival Breeze is scheduled to enter service on June 3, 2012.
