A Very Special Meeting of Queens

Cunard's new Queen Elizabeth arrived at Dubai on her first world cruise on Friday (April 1, 2011) and for her first ever meeting with her namesake, the now-retired Queen Elizabeth 2, the longest ever serving Cunarder.
Once docked the two ships exchanged a whistle salute. A skeleton crew remains aboard QE2 for maintenance while it awaits the planned conversion to a floating hotel and entertainment center. There was no official contact between the two since Cunard no longer owns the older vessel. You'll note the name "Cunard" has been removed from QE2.
